Delaware Black History

In April 2021, Delaware passed HB 198, requiring each school district and charter school in Delaware to create and implement a K-12 curriculum on Black History. In collaboration with Delaware Historical Society, Denise Burgher and I will be conducting a workshop this October for DE teachers to provide them with primary sources, a lesson plan, and other materials centered on the historical experiences of Black Delawareans. Excited to be part of this significant shift!
